Aye Mates,
I started me morning off with the intention of doing some scenic photography in the New England countryside whilst in it's fall splendor. The early morn was very foggy and I spent some time sitting on a pond and waiting out the correct lighting conditions.
TRAD making retrieve of a wood duck drake earlier this morn.

Ok, so I have always heard stories from older guys around here that say they use to hunt on the Mississippi River itself. I live in Louisiana about 20 miles north of Baton Rouge and have heard of older guys saying that they use to shoot limits of ducks hunting on the banks of the Mississippi river.
I had to work today but will be going tomorrow.
Anyone else getting after it?

Refuge Members. We have an awesome opportunity to get waders at near cost from a new sponsor Hunting Gear Closeouts .

Was hoping for a big duck day, but they were few and far between. There were, however, plenty of teal where I was so they filled in for the missing mallards.

My fiancé and I debated between getting a couple old town kayaks or to rebuild an old boat I bought a few years ago. We decided it would be fun to spend the money rebuilding the boat how we want to. So, we began work a couple of months ago.

It might be a bit early, but the first sightings have occurred.

New to the forum so I did not have a chance to chronicle the build when I did it last year so I will slowly build the thread as I have time.
