I need a new pair of binoculars for scouting, they will only be used for scouting for ducks. Therefore, I am not as concerned with the objective power as the magnification power. I want as much magnification power as possible but still need to be able to focus out of the boat. I want a good pair that will last, I had a pair of Eagle Optics for a few years that broke.(I have been called a bit rough on my equipment) I am looking for some suggestions and recommendations. Thanks

Swarovski... buy ONCE and they will last you for the rest of your lifetime. Or you can buy some cheapos and keep trading up.

I'm a Zeiss fella myself... I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for.

I use the Zeiss conquest 10x56 and they are perfect for everything I need.

I use Swaros for serious glassing, but I have a pair of Nikon Monarch binocs rattling around in the console of my truck and they will do 90% of what the Swaros do at about 10% of the price.

I Vortex Vipers or Brunton Externa's. Both have awesome customer service and good glass. Are the Swaro no but for all bino's they are tough to beat. Nocalhonker
