Nice job and good looking dog! I've always wanted to kill a black duck. We had a great hunt Saturday, finally got into some mallards. Good luck the rest of the season.

Have a spot to hunt in Lambert around Little Tallahatchie that I haven't been able to visit yet. Let me know if you guys see more action in the area.

Went yesterday and nothing. Hip shot at couple of woodies and that was it. High flyers and very few shots going off around on the lake. They were there this past weekend, but guess that small front moving through pushed them out maybe? Maybe get some fresh ducks in? I don't know anymore. One thing I do know--I'll be out there this weekend even if this is the worst season on record for me.

Yup. I shot my quota of full straps in my life. I still get enjoyment out of a sunrise on the water and a good cup of coffee

Had nice groups of mixed big ducks working in the north delta this Friday and Saturday. Sunday was a PITA in the howling wind. I hope the "tip of the spear" gets here this week with the snow to our north.
