Aftermarket cap would be in my hands before the waiting period on the gun was up. Wouldn’t even risk it for the cost of a couple boxes of shells.

Oh it get's better. With the Briley cap the gun will take three shells in the tube if they are 2-3/4" shells. For whatever reason the plug pops up in the cap so it will allow for three. Guess that's a new way to float the 4th? So we bought a longer plug, but then it won't take two 3-1/2" shells. So we had to cut it. Just a mess.

Using a plug was your first mistake.

A device common to men who wax.

Went back to what works. Just did the paperwork today. My last M2 has been a simple little workhorse for 10 years with no problems at all.

I actually have one of those for a gun that I have that doesn't have the inserts. Works fine.

If I ever bought another Benelli this would probably be the one. Priced accordingly to what Benelli's should cost considering the workmanship and the fact they are inertia guns. Remarkably reliable too. Know a few guys who love these guns and they didn't have issues like I've seen with the SBE's.

I also think new A5 is overpriced for what it is. So even though I am a Browning guy, this gun is garbage IMO for what you pay. Been lots of issues with these guns too.
