Anyone had distal bicep tare/detachment surgery?

    Glad to hear it went well. I have had two friends who have had it done (one had short head detachment and the other long-head) and who both were very dependent upon their bicep looking anatomically correct after the fact.

    The cacophony of guys telling you to take your time are dead on. Do NOT try to hurry back. One friend of mine did and ripped the bicep tendon off of the staple to the bone. This was prior to the method used now of using a screw with a connecting plate. He had to have the surgery re-done and his bicep never again looked normal.

    Take your time and listen to the PT's.

    Putting that nerve block in is a crazy feeling! Wow, my arm was dancing all over the place uncontrolable, the nurse said I got it. When it wore off the pain was pretty tough.
