The geese seem to be doing ok seems like a lot more non breeders this year there getting ready to blast out of here soon to there molting areas to the north. Ducks nothing yet some are still working on there nesting and laying eggs should see some in a few weeks very slow due to the cold weather this year.

Yeah one mile south and a mile west the last four years SDFGP has set up a waterfowl banding station. They use a canon net to capture them they set it up in July & August not sure of the number of birds they band but they get a few.

The two pairs with both banned parents have fled the scene with their young ones. There ok hanging out on the west Lake No boaters no trouble that way. Only one of the parents in the brood is banded they did good there hard to get pic's there every protective now.
