Bought me a new decoy...

    My Brother has at least a nice hundred decoys (mostly hayes, or gundelfinger). Here's a pic of a few.

    I started buying him old coot decoys each year, so he also has a decent collection of old coots, too. RHDC.jpg


    I tried to zoom so that you can see the decoys better, but I am too old, and stupid to know how to do that.:sp

    What’s the story of that duck hunter figure? I remember my grandparents had the same or one very much like it. Haven’t thought about it for decades and don’t think I would have ever again, but seeing it took me right back to standing in front of their mantel.

    I am not sure, it was given to me by my parents quite awhile ago. I have found similar figurines on the internet by typing in "Romer vintage Italian wood carvings". Hope this helps.

    That does, thanks. Definitely their own style. Looking at some of the others I know they had a couple more. Duck hunter stands out.
