do the crabber or crabbing gloves go up and over your sleeve.
No, they are short cuffs. Google Atlas 460 gloves.
Sure they do.
If you want gloves a little longer get these.
They don't have the yellow cotton insulation, but they are pretty warm still.
Buy one of each it will only but you out $30 then you can have all temps covered.
There are these as well.
No, yes, maybe. Heck, I don't know.
Thanks guys.I had samples dropped off from the showa rep in the spring and he has been sending me e-mails so Ill see of he can get these and have a look.Might even get some samples. If they are long enough Id try them.
The 460's don't go way up your forearm just a little above your wrist.
We use them on the crab boat all the time, I also wear them while running crips diver hunting.
The 460s are thee only glove that works for winter time working on the water (fishing, crabbing, hunting etc).
You can get away with the Atlas 451s which I use to run the boat, put out decoys, and often pick up when the temps are 25-50 degrees. They are also great for field work.
I save the crabbers for when it is brutal out or I have to break ice.
If you need gloves that come up your arm, then you need to learn how to pick up decoys, because you're doing something wrong if your elbow is getting wet.
I've gone with a few different Atlas model gloves----some for earlier, warmer conditions and a few pairs for the extreme
freezeup conditions. They are the ticket !
These are pricey but put the Atlas 460s to shame! Warmer, better dexterity and better grip. Liners pull out to dry.
I hesitated to tell anyone as more people will be out in more extreme weather... I prefer the competition to be a bunch of candyasses who don't show up when it gets bad....
