Appears to be a winning formula in some places. Note the quote in bold. Frightening. Very frightening.

Four Pennsylvania state House candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) won their Democratic primaries, marking another milestone in the radical left’s march into electoral politics.
The wins by the four candidates ― all women unseating men ― were the product of a variety of political forces and groups. But in a country where “socialist” remains an epithet in certain quarters, the growing electoral success of a once-marginal socialist organization is an especially notable political development.
According to Arielle Cohen, co-chair of Pittsburgh DSA, it reflects a revival of the socialist-leaning economic left in the wake of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) 2016 presidential bid.
“It feels like a monumental shift,” Cohen said. “We won on popular demands that were deemed impossible. We won on health care for all; we won on free education.”
“We’re turning the state the right shade of red tonight,” she added.

Hey Arielle - I demand to know how much health care for all is going to cost and how you plan on paying for health care for all. I demand to know how much free education is going to cost and how you plan on paying for free education...

Pass legislation that forces Amazon to pay for it all? :yes

They'll keep singing their Siren song to the useful idiots until instead of sounding like a dangerous concept the communists' concept becomes seductive...and eventually deadly.

And they will continue to gain ground as this younger generation see’s are current setup as a flawed system that overwhelmingly supports and favors the upper tier of Americans. Right or wrong that is what is happening and will continue to happen as we move forward.

Yep, it seems you can’t fix stupid... maybe it’ll work itself out when those that take are forced to give, and realize how much “giving” actually costs them. Socialists in charge know it’s an unsustainable model, they just don’t care. To admit it would lose them support. I am not kidding, once we go much more socialistic, and “everything is free”, I’m gonna quit my job, and become a govt leech. I see no reason to support those who only want handouts, so I might as well join them. It’s gonna be great, all the hard working American idiots too stupid to just give up, footing my bills... I’ll just do cash jobs to buy my toys and support my hobbies.

Our tax code is not setup to support socialism. To “make it work” would require a complete overhaul of our tax system....again. I think the Republicans missed the mark on this last tax bill by favoring the upper tier a little too much. In talking with most everyone I know there hasn’t been a single person that has really noticed a difference in their check and only know because they had to look for it. Hence why this last tax plan is still unpopular.

Sounds like a plan. :tu We can all become carpenters and refuse to work in our commune resulting in our ejection from the commune.

Who would do that kinda thing?

Certainly not anyone that doesn't want to get Berned.

I wonder if the Communist Party could become strong enough to eclipse the Libertarians and become the third party?

During many of the recent last five years political marches and riots Communist Party USA banners could be seen being held by the marchers.

There are some good videos on YouTube; however, the ubiquitous F-Word is in the videos I previewed.

Speaking of entitlements, I wonder how many Congressmen from the party of fiscal responsibility will vote against this monstrosity.

This Year's Farm Bill Is Everything Wrong With Washington
The bill is full of handouts to wealthy businesses and other special interests.

The farm bill is up for renewal, and with it almost everything you think of when it comes to big government: billions in corporate welfare, special-interest handouts, protectionist price supports, and massive federal transfers. At least it doesn't launch any wars.
Currently being marked up in the House, the legislation—which authorizes agricultural spending for the next five years—would cost taxpayers $390 billion from 2019 to 2023. That's an increase of roughly $3.2 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office. The bill's 10-year price tag approaches $900 billion.

Not to defend this (because I won’t), but it’s a .9% increase. I don’t agree with handouts, but at least with the farm subsidy, there is an end product. Our economy would tank if the farm subsidies were yanked, IMO.

I’d love to see us yank all subsidies, just to see what happens.
