Gotcha, you're talking about when they periodically clean the soot filter. I was thinking of regenerative braking type stuff.

I have a 2015 crew cab 4x4 bighorn eco diesel. I pray every day that it catches fire in the parking lot. It has spent more time in the shop than my last 2 Tundras combined and it's only 15 months old. Recalls, lost the def pump at straight up 10k miles, rear window seal went out so driving gravel you would have so much dust in the cab you would be sneezing, little electrical quirks. I average 22.3 mpg, best I have ever seen is 26.5. I will not buy another if something happens to this one. I have 30k on the odometer.

What is the price for the eco diesel option on the Rams?

When I bought mine it was $1500 more than the hemi option but they had a $1500 rebate on the ecodiesel engine to make a wash.

That is why I bought a GMC 2500 diesel fully loaded. Can not buy anything better IMO!

The only issue that I've heard about is an exhaust leak, but that was on the 14s, and I assume they fixed it by now.

Nothing will be perfect. Every brand has a few lemons. I know of plenty of people who had a lot of issues with their duramaxes. Tundras had big problems when they first came out too. It seems the vast majority of people have had good luck with these trucks. To each their own. This is by far the best truck I've ever had.

At 24K miles you're ready to say that?

    What else have you had?

    That's what I was thinking!
That engine is supposed to be a good one, let's see if they'very finally built the rest of the truck to keep up with the engine. Need more than a year or two to make that call imo.

Yup! Recently I've had a tundra (hated it and traded it in after 6 months), F150 and a '12 ram.
