Ya just knew someone was gonna have to say it, didn't ya?
Well, if you're on your fourth truck in four years I can see why you'd christen it the best at 24K.
Awful high bar.
Who said anything about 4 years???
My last Ram gave me 100,000 miles and 4 years or so of trouble free service. I was as skeptical as you were.
Perhaps I read your list incorrectly: Current truck, Toyota, F150, 2012 ram. 2016-2012, 4 yrs.
Makes no difference and I won't derail the thread. Just strikes me that anyone could say best truck ever after 24K miles. You've certainly had some dogs if that's the case.
But I know the norm is to change 'em often these days. To each his own.
I hope it works well and sells; I'd like to see small diesels to become available across the industry(like practically everywhere else in the world).
That's over the last 10 years. I guess by saying the best truck I've ever owned I mean it's the best truck SO FAR. From the way it drives, handles, comfort, etc. obviously longevity is up in the air. I would hope it continues to be a great truck, but you never know.
Me too. The problem here in the states is all the emission crap with diesels. It all hurts the reliability and overall performance of the engine. The diesel Ford Fusion in Europe gets over 70 mpg. We could never have that here though. It's mind boggling.
'So far' makes a huge difference.
I hope it works out well for you.
At a 2-3 yrs change interval, I sure it hope it doesn't go poorly.
More like 4 years. Either way, no you shouldn't have any problems within 100,000 miles. I still don't get why you had to be anal about "best truck I've ever owned". Can you seriously not understand what one could mean by that?
