Don't forget about the DU Happy Hour events going on now. This is where a lot of the planning for the banquets goes on. Its a good, informal way to meet people that enjoy waterfowl hunting, too. May not agree on where DU spends the money, but they have had success, and I like the idea of keeping the duck numbers up.

I've been to it several times in the past, and had lots of fun and fellowship. But the drive home without a DD is something I've thankfully grown out of. Sometimes I'm surprised I made it to 46 y/o with the stupid things I did.

I agree with that. Where do you live. Close to Greenwood?

I moved up to Lexington from Louisiana. I've had the property for about ten years and just made the move. I've been hunting Morgan brake and Mathews also some flooded timber around Panther swamp. Decent hunting but still enjoy my trips out to Kansas

Used to hunt Matthew Brake quite a bit. Still hunt McIntyre Scatters but not as much as in the past. Still go over there when they open the dams up and water gets high; it can be some great hunting.

I've always wanted to hunt the Scatters. We mainly hunt the south delta. Looking forward to the opener. Good luck this season.

It can be fun...and frustrating with the sky busters and folks thinking they have to high ball all the time. But when its good, its great. Going to do a little scouting this weekend. Just hope the ducks don't throw it in reverse when the weather starts to warm back up. Good luck to ya'll too. Hope many safe, successful hunts.
