Yep, it went on the smoker. That said, our kings went dark very early and while they were still offshore last season. They looked alot worse than they really were.

Used to do a few of these a year. Haven't done it in a while though... That was all the livewell could hold.

This is also a good way to pass the time. I caught about 15 this size that day, after shooting a gobbler on a WMA.

Fished a lot as a kid but lost interest when cars and girls took its place. But a few years
ago my duck hunting buddy dragged me out a few times and one day a huge Musky followed up behind my lure and stared me down .That was it for me I decided if i was going to fish that's what i would fish for ! Still trying to figure it out but have got a few and lost
    as many :)

The whites should be on good here before long. But their hybrid cousin the wiper is really where it’s at. Hell of a time on a rod and reel and if you’re not an idiot at cleaning fish they taste just fine.

Stop with that. My turkey season is still 2+ weeks out from my earliest tag. It sucks.

Im about to to after hybrids in a couple weeks. Not many lakes around here stocked with hybrids and stripers. Should be a good time if we get into them. As far as white bass go, yellow bass eat a heck of alot better.

Is your season on right now?

Cut the red (mud) line out and grill it and put it in some tacos. That’s how I think whites taste best. Wipers too.

I HATE yellows because they have ruined so many lakes around here.
