Tried to finally put together a good hunt, but even with the pending "polar vortex" no birds around at all. Hunted Monday, all day, and today till 10 AM and didn't see or kill squat. River up and running hard and it was VERY cold so maybe that is why there were no other hunters seen, no trucks at the ramp or shots heard. Haven't killed a duck since the first week of January. I might quit this nonsense after this lame season.

I did get this really crappy pic of the sunrise this morning before the clouds moved in.

well decided to give the ducks one last try this morning. Figured with the extreme cold that something had to have blown in or was using the river. Nope, still the worse.season.ever. I did kill a sawbill though..so at least I have fresh lunch. I think i'm hanging it up...for good. Y'all been cool people, but on to the next hobby.

Next hobby?? it's bound to be better than this past season, unless we get another year of record breaking rain.
