It's like melted fat, you could literally use it like butter, but it isn't a movie popcorn butter taste, it's like a great ribeye fat taste. Think of its uses like bacon as well, add it to everything, to make everything more palatable.

It's great, you'd like it, everyone would. I could see where it would be a heavenly addition to soups/stews and such. If you can only handle so much rich fatty flavor, then you'd want to moderate its use.

It is very good. We had lamb chops a lot as kids. That round bone always got the marrow scooped out with a knife, Ummmm Ummmm good!

Tried it a couple times, just don't care for it no matter how it is cooked or presented.

However, one of the later season Steve Rinella MeatEaters has a section on it. They dug it out and spread on bread as a butter substitute

Cwd would be greatest in neural tissue not marrow.

You are missing out not trying it. It is one of the evolutionary great satisfying tastes. Only thing I can think of better than bacon.

I love it and eat it every chance I get. Easy to do yourself with game or cow bones. Natures butter.

Mom is 87 and has moved in with us! My wife loves to cook, but she struggled when mom asked if she could make baked marrow!

however now that she has done so and our granddaughter loved it and she while not overly fond of it makes it at least one a month.

buddy butchered a steer recently and brought me the joint and leg bones. Made stock from the joints. Leg bones where cut seasoned and baked to perfection.

Bone marrow is awesome. Everyone fought after the round bone when I was a kid.
