Well kind of...So this weekend I joined buddy Big Wayne and several others for some geoduck hunting along other critters of the mud..

We ran way way north in the valley and had a great time, we had some rookies to make it interesting..
Boxing limits for 11 of washingtons, horse necks and double fits of geoducks was pretty tough but we got it done... Thanks Big Wayne, Saturday night Wayne cooked up some of his famous clam chowder that is to die for !!
We also had a surprise guess that stopped by totting a bag of oysters and other goodies...Thanks Jim Dandy..

We all seen tail gate shots of dead ducks so let me get right to the great eats part..

So on the menu for this very special day for our country we had steamed Washington clams, stuff clam in the shell, clam fettuccine, sauted geoduck steaks... man... i'm stuff..

So you need a few of these

Man! Those are some good eats. Serious out of pocket coin had you not did a do it yourself trip. IIRC, a geoduk 3 ways in Chinatown is 90 bucks - that's apiece. White wine or a Drakes 1500 to wash it down. Yum!

Dang you fellas lived the good life on a trip like that ! As the Wife and I do get to areas along the Northern coasts as often as possible , it seems a few
Washingtons or Horse necks make it all worth while . With the multi-course meals you experienced and the Great comradery....you're living a good life !:tu

Your right Tom...they are not cheap on the market... we were lucky this trip with 16 of them in the sack .. normal for us is 3 to 6 most trips.

They were hanging out of their holes like lost puppies...lol

And the Horsenecks and Washingtons were super shallow..made for easy pumping
