We spend the evening at Ironstone Vineyards. They throw a great party for 10 bucks. They have a ton of stuff for the kids and grand kids. The climbing wall is a favorite.

Shane Dwight will be playing blues and rock and roll. The fireworks are a great show lasting at least 45 minutes. It's sat night this year.

Where else is there great fireworks displays ?.

BBQ on the 4th with friends.

Not anywhere close to you, but Lincoln does a good show at McBean Park. Got a buddy who lives real close by, so we watch em from his lawn. Smoking ribs, pork butt for pulled pork sammies, smoked tri-tip, all the fixins, sippin on woodford reserve and lots of brews... and the epitomy of all of our get togethers... Washer toss!

I might even put on some Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, or Son House in honor of you Kevin.

But most likely it'll be Hayes Carl, Old Crow Medicine Show, Turnpike Troubadours, and such...

In 2009 I went down to see the fireworks over the Washington Monument. This year I won't make that mistake again. Instead, I'm making my meltyourfaceoff habanero beef brisket chili for a BBQ party.
