Circling back to Habitat Flats and everyone's favorite topic... flooded corn.
Won’t be much corn in the MO bottoms this year due to ongoing floods.
Heard just the other day only 50% of the nations corn is in the ground, let alone duck holes. I only got in half of my corn acres in and what most got in around hear looks like crap. Got about 35% of my rice in and switched to beans. Every time it rains, we end up with at least a 2” down pour. I haven’t seen a spring this wet and with prices so low to go along with it. If I don’t get’em all planted, I’ll have several acres that look like Duck Creek’s food plots(cockleburs, pigweed, smartweed).
On a positive note...
If the weather actually gives us a winter during duck season, ducks just might HAVE to migrate.
Only Americans need flooded corn to kill a couple ducks. I have 100x more respect for the Pakistani guys and those goofy kids.
What will the southern babies cry about this year? I hope it’s an extremely warm winter just to listen to them whine.
That’s a pretty ****ty attitude
We just drive further north. Heard they were hammering them in MI this year. Birds so dumb you can shoot them over soda bottles.
Careful what you wish for... how many rednecks you want skybustin your favorite hole?
Go for it! There’s plenty of land up here.
