I think I'll stick with regular steel even at the sale price. :l More power to you if you can afford it. :tu

Too bad Mack’s won’t ship to California any longer. My ffl said they’re done with this state.

Same here. I shoot 3" 4's and so long as I am on the bird (which admittedly hasn't been the case very often this season) they drop everything from geese to teal.

I picked up a few cases on sale at Kittles back during their sale in August and I don't think I paid over $300/case.

I would happily pay 220 a case for 2 3/4 #4 shot. I have some Kent tungsten left and ration it. Hevi X hits like the Hammer of Thor. Reminds me of the old copper coated lead #5. Way less crippled birds most are DRY. Can't find it locally for anywhere near that price though.

Just curious where you are getting it. Can't find it at anything less than $32/box in Walnut Creek area.

That’s a decent price. I bought it at the Kittle’s sale. Don’t remember what I paid, but I shot some for late geese last season and decided I couldn’t shoot steel anymore. Since I’ve now found out (sadly) that Mack’s won’t ship to FFLs here I’m stuck buying it for $34/box at Sportsman’s. That’s still less than a buck and a half per round. I’ll stock up again over the summer.

I shoot Hevi Metal 20GA 3" #2's & #4's. Its one of the best values I find on a typical hunt
