I was wondering, on average how far do you guys travel to hunt geese (from your home to the field)? Also, which zone do you hunt (Horicon, Exterior, Collins, Etc.)? This is not a scouting question, it is more to see why there is so much pressure in particular areas.

    <20 miles.

    Exterior.

Face it, theres alot of geese which draws increasing interest on a decreasing amount of land. Id hate to be a farmer these days.

Exterior zone, max of about 30 minute drive. Gas is too expensive to be driving that much. Might drive a little further if I don't have to bring my decoys (someone else's field) or if it is the early season for an X field.

Exterior. Mileage depends upon the quality of the hunt and company!

Exterior-maybe 10 miles max which may be why I haven't shot any. Well that and only getting out a few times.

exterior. we travel about 45 minutes to an hour to get into some good goose country. we haven't had any farmers deny us yet. we always ask if anyone else has permission. we have yet to have the farmer reply yes. they always say that we were the first guys to ask. we have found out that a good stick of venison sausage goes a long way to keeping permission. also not driving in the middle of fields and picking up empty shells helps:tu

15 miles or less now, but I'm gonna have to look further with all the pressure I'm seeing this year.
