Tell your wife you and your buddy are going to a bar to drink all day - you won't make it out the door.

my friend caught this one when we were fishing all you need is a tip up 20lb line and a leader with a red treble hook and a shiner. It was a really good day for tip ups didn't have time to sit and drink at all though. We usually have a big group of people out there with a grill and drinks. we also bring a football or some golf clubs and balls so if its a slow fishing day its still pretty fun

Nice thing is you don't have to worry about them spoiling!

Nothing I'd rather do than fall thru the ice with many layers of clothes on.

Sometimes you need an airboat to get to the good spots.

The trick is to kick your feet. Everyone freaks out and trys to lift themselves straight up and if your quick enough it can work but once waterlogged it's damn near impossible. But if you just kick your feet with your elbows on the ice your legs will come up and you will now be fully on the surface and then you just army crawl onto the ice and needless to say it's better to army crawl away from the hole and or roll since standing on two feet is what got you in trouble in the first place.
