Let’s see dem crappie

    Another good bite today. Gonna give them a break for a few days. Bucket is 33 fish deep. Averaged 10" not huge but good eating. Bite was fast! 20190321_172107.jpg

    Nothing wrong with that ! My opinion is the 10-11" are optimum keeper size. The meat on 12" plus gets a bit soft. Under 9" is too small. 10-11 is best balance for yield and firmness.

    13" & 1.2lbs. My personal best. A really good one for around here. Intended to bass fish but glad I had a rod with some crappie jigs. Only caught a few but they were solid.

    Had a few good outings this week. Nothing huge but they all made good filets.

    Caught 32 and a redfin this afternoon after work. Had to fight the wind but it was a fun couple hours on the water.
