After I finished the decoy work I had to do today I got a call from a friend. He,said he was going to fish a slough near me and did I want to go along. Yep! Set tip ups and did some jigging, and I caught these three beauties, my first walleyes ever, on tip ups..also my first ever fish on tip ups. What a blast! Great times for sure.

How did they taste? It won't be long and you will be asking about walleye boats.:)

Yep. Caught all three that way.

The ones we had last week were great. I only kept one of those three and he's dinner for tomorrow night. Pretty sure it'll be great. Walleye boat...hmmmmmm.......:dv

That's a hell of a nice three pack to start on. Must be a fairly exceptional fishery to produce that level of fish consistently. Some days it looks more like this! :dv

When we got there I was told the greatest challenge of fishing that place was finding walleye under 20 inches. They were right.
