Trolled the San Quentin area and Paradise. Anchovies and Herring behind dodgers in 6’ - 20’ of water.

Awesome! In SoCal getting just one keeper hali per trip is a big deal.

FIL caught a hog of a Ca halibut last year in the bay, biggest Ca Hali I've ever seen at 40+.
They're out there and they are great tablefare, if not the best.
If your on the bay on a sunny, windless day catching fish you are very fortunate, as the wind never seems to quit.

Where did you guys launch? I live about 15 minutes from those waters, have the boat and gear, and I never go. Plus I hate trolling. But I might have to go get me one or two.

Would have been way funnier if you had asked for specific hunting spots and drove a red Kia!
