My wife caught the biggest yellowtail ever caught by a lady angler on our honeymoon last year. 80.5 lb California yellowtail caught at Guadalupe island on 9/25/17. Got the mount on Saturday.

Thanks Squaller.....different yellowtail then what’s in Florida. The Florida species is a snapper type fish. This is a California yellowtail, which is only found in the pacific. It is a type of Jack, it’s closest Florida relative is the Amberjack.
