101 year old gun. Took Tucker for our annual late season Turkey hunt. Got up about 50 in the pines. They were oddly still up in the pine tree tops at 12:34. Passed on a big Tom. Not the best shot as it was going away after it flew out of a tree. Missed a hen but shot a tree top as one flew by. Connected on a thirty yard crossing shot. Tucker dragged it for the retrieve.

Bonus phesants on the walk in.

Went to a brand new area for me on the last day. Started out in the cattails looking to push some patches of dogwood. We were out in the marsh about 600 yards when schtick happened. Dog went through the ice, then my buddy did, as I was moving towards the dog I went through. Luckily both humans only went through one leg each, and those legs never touched bottom. Pulled myself out and left the shotgun as I crawled over to Shiloh struggling to get out, grabbed her by the collar and pulled her out. Was a damn scary situation. Made our way back, soaking wet, and continued to hunt for another 3 hours. Zero birds flushed today but we were on them in a few spots. Really glad that you guys aren’t hearing about us on the news tonight, and if you didn’t notice, I ripped my pants when I fell in.

I fell thru the ice as a child and it scares the living **** out of you. Luckily my dad was near by and snatched me out real quick.
