Last week I had a bird I didn’t lead enough. Happy to say on this 20 yard crosser that I was spot on.

When the state releases birds is there a schedule or random throughout the season? Haven't done any upload with my new pup but might be fun after duck season

The state usually is pretty much done with releases by the end of duck season. 1 maybe 2 after deer closes is usually it. Still birds around but gets thin pretty quick.

Releases are random, otherwise they’d have a parade of old retired guys following the trucks around. It’s a fairly safe bet that a field will be planted right before the weekend but no telling when exactly. If you want guaranteed birds, to my knowledge Bong rec area releases 200/day.

Hey, I'm an old retired guy and if I could follow the chicken truck, I would! :l.

It is random release, usually towards the weekend. They don't release during deer gun season. There is at this time one release planned after deer season. If they have excess birds, there may be a holiday release, like last year.

Damn cold out this morning. Got one rooster up 5 minutes into the hunt and then had 2 more give us the slip onto private land. These birds that make it a week or two learn to run real fast once they hear a gunshot.
