Not even remotely similar. Pimento cheese is more like mayo then cheese.
I loved it on Granny's homemade sourdough bread.
Nothing like pepperjack, not even close in flavor.
I'll take the bread and y'all can have the pimento cheese.... and potted meat, Vienna sausages, and SPAM......
How about liverwurst, red onion and mustard sandwiches on Wonder bread?
My wife makes a spicy pimento cheese that is awesome! Shredded MS State edam cheese, peminto, blue plate mayonnaise, jalapeno, and a pinch of cayenne
Now we are getting somewhere!

I had to look that one up.
