Formerly, not as much as now, since the DC was developed from the SB, was opened up a bit and had more rasp. Now, the short barrel has been "quieted down" with a smaller bore, so its definitely not as loud and raspy as a DC. The SB will have more back pressure than the DC.

The Daisy Cutter (DC) came about from the Short Barrel. The DC's exhaust is a little wider. Furthermore, the DC also has a little higher reed set. Both of those differences should to allow you to be more aggressive and run it with more power, vs the Short Barrel. The DC might take more practice and skill to get it where you want it, but its extra nasty when you dial it in.

I had the young man behind the call counter abrade the tone board on my new style DC last week. I told him so wanted it to be very gruff and raspy. He delivered.
