Have you ever had a problem getting a hamburger? At a decent price?
    You know why?
    1. You know the actual cost of the hamburger and
    2. You aren't paying a third party to buy you the hamburger. Corallaries:
    a. the provider and the consumer of the hamburger don't get screwed by the third party (the provider gets paid a fair price set by what the consumer(s) are willing to pay)
    b. the cost has to stay reasonable, or you won't buy it.

To sum up: true free market.

You silly boys. Free market! :l Big bad Buffet, Dimon, and Amazon. Wayyyyyyy over their heads on this. I do admire their apparent attempt to act like Trump, even as it eventually leaves them looking foolish.

Yes and No, consumers really aren't driving the healthcare market so much as the insurance market. Healthcare itself IMO is totally out of control and has been for decades in this country, what Healthcare has become is basically We charge what we feel like charging then negotiate a final price with insurance carriers for services and the consumer has absolutely nothing to say about it.
I seriously doubt a group of billionaires even has a clue as to what the average consumer goes through paying for insurance, co pays and healthcare not covered these days. Until the impossible happens and the government regulates the Healthcare industry nothing positive will ever get down with it, not speaking of another version of Obamacare but true regulation.
IMO all of as Americans should be ashamed and embarrassed by the raping of America by Healthcare, Pharma and Insurance industries, say anything you want but it's the truth.

I think it’s funny that people think the free markets are pushing the costs of healthcare.

The reality is the insured have to pay for the uninsured. We would be far better off if we all were insured.

I don’t know why they can’t set something up to “buy into Medicare”. Figure out a price and you pay for it. Hell, and if you are buying into it maybe even pay taxes at a higher rate to help pay for it.

The current system sucks and I don’t foresee that changing at all.

Ah, Socialism. We just need the government to do it right this time because the last attempt at government meddling just wasn't enough.
10GAGE finally comes out of the closet.

Unfortunately that's the only way to get Healthcare under control, you leave it to a Free Market system like we have been and it goes out of control.
The way I feel about it is healthcare/pharma providers are about as low on food chain as you can go, they abuse people at their lowest point when they need medical help or drugs. If they really wanted to the Medical/Pharma Industry would police themselves, they don't and they won't. Nobody wants anything for free or more government meddling but in this instance Government meddling is required, I've always said that and I always will.
Nobody has an answer and throwing more money on the won't solve it, as I stated We as Americans should be ashamed of ourselves, this isn't Everybody Gets a Free Car, It's peoples lives we're speaking of and if that is to much for some to Say Hey We should Do All we can do then they can go pound sand as far as I'm concerned.

The private side has continued to crap down their leg on this. Something needs to change. What that change needs to be is debatable.
