I have a ranch in Texas that is covered up in wild hogs. It's not abnormal to see 50 or more when feeding cattle. I would trade a guaranteed hog hunt for just about anything waterfowl related. Thanks.......
Depends how cold do you want to get. First split is good for wood ducks and local birds. Pretty fast shooting for ducks, milder temps, and can fish in afternoon most often. Second split is more open water, cold out but can shoot more species. Mainly shoot mallards, backs, greys, buffies, on normal days with bluebills and ge later in year. I also hunt IL for Geese, that is January usually when I go.(Braidwood IL)
