Slow weekend for me. Didn't even see a duck, heard the Stas weren't much better. Anyone else find some?

The December doldrums should be ending. The first week of Jan is where it usually starts picking up.

Forgot about these forums! Seems to be the only place with any activity other than facebook. I havent shot a teal since the first split but have been crushing the divers this season. I will post some pictures from my season later today.

I will start with my early teal season where I was lucky enough to knock down my first cinnamon teal and to shoot a limit both times I hunted!

Knowing the puddlers were going to be tough without a quota this season, Ive focused all of my efforts on traveling the state for divers.

Beyond excited to shoot my first Surf Scoter and find a band while picking up our birds. Not sure if my buddy Chris or I shot the band but we were pretty happy to share the bird. We both got a certificate with out name on it. The bird was banded in Liverpool, Illinois.

Outstanding! Been real slow down south. Water dropping will need a new prop for next season, seen more mottled and bagged some, ringers are scarce. Still a joy to get out there in the river of grass...
