which duck is the most hunted, and which is your favorite?
Mallard probably most hunted
My favorite? Sprig
We shoot lots of all the puddle ducks ,except THE most beautiful duck in North America, The Black.Nuff Said.Shot them as a kid ,none out here in the Pacific Flyway..
Most hunted? I have no idea. Canvasback is the favorite for me right now. The biggest, fastest, best tasting duck there is. That's how I like to describe them.
King Can is always a trophy! Teal are just a great time when they come slipping in and the first warning is the tearing of primaries! Blacks are a rare trophy and pintails can be elusive if you prefer to hunt the timber. But the old green heads sure put smiles all around when they show up...
Most sought after would be mallards. My favorite is eurasian wigeon.
I shot a nice Eurasian ,wish I could post pics,I have him on the wall. A few of those wander down here from Washington,I think.
It seems the most sought after, usually, is the one that you haven't got yet...for me it's a widgeon drake. We have them here in Michigan in decent numbers....I've just never landed one in almost 30years of hunting.
The king of ducks would the drake mallard.
