My dad used always say he could take a baseball and walk around the neighborhood and throw it at the sewer drains from different angles/distances and that would be funner than golf. Cheaper as well
So true. One of my brothers is a high school golf coach...no way no how. And he had to quit fishing in general because it takes up all his spring time
There is no denying the impact Tiger has had on the sport, or that many of his issues were self-inflicted. It's hard to watch an icon crash and burn quite as spectacularly as he did; some people take joy in it, but I tend to think about how many young people who were inspired by him had to learn the hard lesson that he was just a person like the rest of us.
I don't watch golf, and I've never played a round of anything except putt-putt, but I can respect him coming back from major physical and emotional issues to win something as prestigious as The Masters. If he retired from professional golf today, his story would still be amazing.
As in most pro atheletes. Impact on young people as role models. Lots of good ones, but lots of bad too. I know a lot of people hate Tim Tebow for instance. But he is as good a guy as you could ask for. Then you have people like Ray Rice no one would care If he disappeared in a hole somewhere.
I hate you.
Age is just a number dude. I’ve connected with people twice my age and half my age; time spares no man, but nothing can take the spark of youth from your heart.
But how nice that some of that learning could be done with extra millions of dollars!!
