Tree blinds

    Really thinking about it, I think I take much higher percentage shots out of the tules than a pit blind. Shells per bird are much lower in the tules which makes me feel like I am shooting better. The reality is more likely that I am just much more selective at what shots I take. I am much more likely to shoot at low, fast "Fly Bys" from a pit. Simply because you can see them coming. Where as from the tules the fly bys are gone by the time you realize a bird WAS in range.

    Take a 24 x 24 slab of wood with you in the tules. Stand on that. Kill green comfortably all day long.

    Ism't that illegal in California?
    Was when I lived there.
