    nice birds, I’ve never seen anyone turkey hunt in waders thou, I would have to have a med flight out of the woods down here if I put mine on

    We had to cross a small slough to get to our setup spot. Coulda got by with knee highs. It was in the 30’s with some wind and snowing off and on. We both decided to dress just like we were going duck hunting and stay warm.

    Saturday was my first chance to hunt this season, and it rained all morning. Found this fella homeless and standing in the rain. I gave him my vest and a boat ride home where he could get dry, clean and join us for supper.

    For reference, the bottom of the boat was dry when I headed out. Sunday morning it had about five inches in it.
