Some people would B' if they weren't hung with a new rope.
Okay, let's look at your original post with some bolding to draw your attention to one of the incorrect bits:
The bill championed by Obama allowed patients to see out of system doctors, subject to some restrictions. So the bill he signed did exactly the opposite of what you claim in your post.
The re-authorization signed by Trump did not include, for the first time, provision permitting out of system doctor visits. Obama did that. Trump did not.
Trump extended the funding for a 2014 law signed by Obama.
The re-authorization Trump signed will also run out of funds, probably in 2018. This is actually a shorter window than the "half azzed" version you criticize.
Under the 2014 bill which was passed by both parties in congress overwhelmingly.
"Under the legislation, family physicians who participate in Medicare will be eligible to sign agreements with the VA to offer care for veterans.
Eligible veterans who cannot get an appointment at a VA facility within 30 days of their request for one can obtain care outside the VA system and still receive full coverage. In addition, veterans who live more than 40 miles from the nearest VA health clinic will be able to go to a facility not affiliated with the VA. To facilitate this expanded access, veterans will receive a benefit card called a "Veteran's Choice Card."
Payment rates for care provided outside VA facilities have yet to be determined but will be no higher than Medicare rates unless the services are provided in highly rural locations."
The highlighted part is a weak link.
Senator McCain was the sponsor.
Regardless of fantasy, real world is that primary care visits under the previous interration of Veteran's Choice did not happen. VC visits authorized were for VA doctor requested specialty care and emergencies that could not be scheduled at a VA facility within 30 days. In all cases Veterans Choice users are required by third party providers to sign disclaimers accepting responsibility for non VA reimbursed charges.
All Trump did then was reauthorize it and really did nothing then..........
cheeto is name calling?
How many iterations of obummer, libtard, etc. have been posted on this site in the past? Even you used that term in the past.
Cheeto is on the no fly list, as well as Big Ears....lol
Just like most of everything else Obama did!!
I just can't believe the number of anti Trumpers still spewing non sense, the man is trying to straighten this country out and there's still people who will say negative things.
He didn't craft the law, congress did.
As I said previously, this was supposed to have only been an interim law while congress actually crafted something that would have helped the VA. How did they do on that, you know the GOP controlled congress.......
If it was so terrible then why did Trump extend it? Why hasn't the GOP come up with a better bill and had it ready for him to sign?
Trump said veterans have "not been taken care of properly" and that the program will continue to be able to see "the doctor of their choice."
"You got it? The doctor of their choice," he repeated for emphasis.
I got it and I knew it already, what you don't get or want to get is we had a POTUS in office for 8 years that only cared about Blacks and Muslims and didn't give a crap about the rest of the country, veterans or anybody else that didn't fit his, Michelle's or Oprahs agenda. The truth is you all know it but won't say it, meanwhile we have the remnants of failed international policies, failed domestic policies and the Rainbow Brite everything is fine and the sun always shines in our world dumb azz believers to deal with.
No politician is 100% perfect, yet if you take a good look at your precious Democratic party these days you will see people who just like Obama don't give a crap and only care about their own agenda.
I got it all right. Trying to have a decent conversation with you is an exercise if futility. I asked what I was missing. Chuam provided the information without a snarky remark.
