I’m sorry, did I misunderstand this quote?

Nah, I didn’t. everyone knows you can’t catch your own shrimp in Ohio, so instead of moving the goal posts, just admit you don’t know everything.

Nothing there to be ashamed of. Making a living on the water is not glamorous. My kids won't ever know what it was like to work in Tobbaco fields as a teenager for next to nothing. I do, and I'm proud to say I was working and playing sports from the time I was 12 years old. Come home from work, take a nap and go to practice.

Just had to say I love shrimp. Never had a bad one, and I live in Wisconsin.

Not a rich kid here so swing and a miss. I put in my time working hard but I’ve seen enough real shrimpers to know that scene isn’t pretty.

Having been a commercial fisherman in California, my wife and I make a point of buying very high quality shrimp right off the boats in the harbors. We like to trade wine and catch up on the fishermen's stories.

The last time I stopped and bought shrimp right off the boat, I pulled up in my pickup and parked in front of the front door. This HUGE guy came out and glared at me for about thirty seconds-gave me the full force stink -eye! Then he turned and stomped away.

I went inside anyway and the big guy was around the corner , still giving me the stink-eye. This other salty looking gentleman said, not in a nice way, "Anything I can help you with buddy?" I told him I wanted to buy some shrimp. He relaxed immediately and said,"Oh, we thought you were the Coast Guard!"

He told me they had been stopped on the way in and had been written a ticket for some things like out of date life rings. For $90K!

I was in Aldi yesterday. Gulf Shrimp, large or small were about $5.50-$6 per bag.

    In Ky.
