Who is going where and hunting what on the opener?

    Deer hunting also. Twisp, the deer hunting equivilant of the Potholes on opening day.

    I don't bother getting out on the opener...to many crazys out there. If we have geese on some of our leases then we'll set up for some geese. If not then it's the Klickatat for metalheads and big silvers. :tu

    I'll probably go for a walk on opening day, do a little watching then I have to be at work at 1:45 pm! Sunday/Monday off though and also the second week on vacation for some serious whackage, I hope!! :z

    I will be meeting 7 friends at my place at the Potholes on Thursday-and Friday
    then we all head up to Saskatchewan for 4 days of waterfowl hunting!

    Best way to avoid the "Last minute Larrys" is to hike into your own little pothole plenty early and let them get stuck hunting the channel 'cause thats all they can do when they show up at shooting time.

    Hey Pintail, DON'T forget there is a 25 shell limit. Believe me, the agents DO count shells down there.
    ~Just know how hard a 100.+/shell fine would be on a young college student.

    For the past 7 years I make an anual treck to South Dakota for Pheasants. This has proven to be a always memerable event. The opener for ducks in this state is always good on day one, but once the shooting starts the , mostly local birds, either die or go into hiding for several weeks.

    deer hunting in SE wa then hunt ducks the rest fo the week.
