In NW Alabama, most of our woodies headed downstate by the first of November. SA’s comment on gaddies reminded me (late 60’s & early 70’s) that they seemed to reciprocate with wigeon on a year end, year out basis on Pickwick. Lots of divers back then with rafts often stretching from Colbert Steam Plant to State Line Island. With the return of milfoil on Pickwick, perhaps they’ll come back as well.
