This last season we had some days we could have each killed
    another bird.
I do think that 2 is plenty.Maybe a longer season.

I believe we have a director who will listen. but is handcuffed with this states money problems. we've asked for 2 changes neither costing money and he or his people did both. I also agree setting a spread for 1 goose would be hard [BUT REMEMBER WHEN THE LIMIT WAS 1 and we did it] I'm saying give us 1 speck a day in late feb. early march during the snow goose season when u could kill them with a tennis racket, we had a young speck come in with 2 adult snows on march 30 th completely gray/black hard to tell from a juvie except the legs and beak. I believe the 1 bird a day would help the snow goose kill u don't need to be as careful. P.S. NOTHING EATS LIKE A SPECK SOAKED IN ROOTBEER WOW

If you were to push the speck season back into February and March the feds would not allow the use of ecallers for whites.

The 3 bird is a trade off in days for the states that choose the extra bird.
Illinois can't effectively give up days because they opt for the 4 zones and have consecutive days.
Three zone states can run split seasons.

I’m not saying your right or wrong but this is the first I have ever heard of this. I believe Indiana has the same number of days to hunt we do but has a three bird limit. I am aware of no splits with four zones but how does that affect huntable days?

I believe they need to do something about the Specks. We should be able to shoot a few later.
We need a Split for Canada Geese in the NZ to. CZ has a Split so it would work just fine in the NZ to.

Please provide a source for this. I live here, attended multiple meetings on the subject, and never, ever heard this brought up. We are still allowed the same amount of days worth of opportunity at geese. This was an option for our state, and I believe Illinois as well, for multiple years from the Feds stand point. It was up to the states to decide what daily bag limit they wanted inside the Feds framework.
