“ Boldly I approach your throne. Blameless now I'm running home. By your blood I come welcomed as your own. Into the arms of majesty.”

    Isaiah 25:1

1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

The prophet Isaiah is reflecting upon how great and glorious GOD is and His prophesies that He has delivered to Isaiah. Isaiah stops and breaks into worship, into celebration into praise for GOD’s wonderful works. GOD’s words are true and firm, conceived for all of eternity and will certainly be accomplished and Isaiah just stops and gives GOD His glory.

I heard a song this week about wanting to praise and worship our Father GOD. It said, “ I live to worship You.” This made me stop and just praise Him, tear filled eyes giving GOD all the praise HE deserves. The lyrics made me think about Psalms 150. It is filled with the words of praise an exhortation to praise GOD.

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The psalmist wrote this chapter giving praise to our LORD. The first praise is simple, Praise ye the LORD. Hallelujah! We are to praise Him in our churches and everywhere. Do we go to worship our GOD on Sunday or to just show up, to check of the box and say we went to church? This worship can take on many forms, singing, prayer, tithing, the message and an altar call.

We are to praise and worship His awesome power. Stop and look around, GOD created everything. He is Awesome! HE is great, He is mighty and we should worship Him with all that we are. Did we worship Him this morning when your feet hit the floor?

I love to hear the whole church praising and worshipping our Father GOD. Hands raise giving GOD His glory, voices singing with all that we have to praise our Creator and hearing and singing words that touch our hearts about how Christ is our King, our Saviour, the Lion and the Lamb. We often think that the preaching is only from the Pastor. However, the preaching from the songs that we sing, it is not just the music, the beat, the rhythm but it is all about the words praising the Great I am. How great thy GOD is that we serve. We must boldly approach His Throne! O Praise the One! Our Strong GOD!

We had our United Service this past Sunday were we have one service instead of two. The house is full ready to praise our King! The Holy Spirit was in the house Sunday. The Holy Spirit filled the people walking in ready to worship. The Holy Spirit filled the Praise and Worship Team and Choir. The Holy Spirit was in our Pastor as he delivered GOD’s message that was laid on his heart and that we all needed to hear. The Holy Spirit was in the workers that watched the children, the workers in the teen ministry, the workers that served in the café, the workers that greeted and welcomed the people as they came in, the ushers and those that cleaned up after everyone was gone. What an Awesome GOD we serve.

Get your worship on, praise Him with your voices, your hands, your heart, amen the Pastor as He preaches GOD’s word to you and cry out to Him, Christ Jesus, Oh, How I love you Jesus. Hallelujah! So let me finish with this. With every breath you have, Praise the LORD, Praise ye the LORD. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“ Father to the fatherless Defender of the weak. Freedom for the prisoner we sing. This is God in His holy place. This is God clothed in love and strength. Sing out lift your voice and cry out. Awesome is our strong God mighty is our God.”
